Castle Camps Pre-School
Introduction...
Welcome to the Castle Camps pre - school website. The pre-school was established in 1977 and is run by a voluntary committee.
In September 2000 the pre - school moved from the village hall into a mobile building in the secure grounds of Castle Camps Primary School and from January 2003 we extended our hours. We now have daily sessions available between 9am - 3pm. Children can come and stay for lunch 12pm - 1.15pm.
The pre-school operates Monday to Friday during the school term for children aged between 2 ½ to 5 years. The pre- school is a charity and is registered with Social Services and regularly inspected by OFSTED.
We have a separate building from the school with a large secure outdoor play area. We have a slide and various bikes and outdoor toys. There are raised beds for planting and promoting an interest in nature. We have fun weekly topics to promote learning through play and each child has a Key Person to aid them in their development. We provide healthy snacks and drinks. The children develop good social skills and are encouraged to broaden their knowledge of the world in a safe, fun environment.
In the last OFSTED inspection in March 2009 the inspector concluded that the quality and standards of both the care and nursery education are 'Good/Grade 2' they reported that the children thoroughly enjoy their time at this pre-school.
